The First Advance in Flame Photometry in the 21st Century.
The BWB-XP Flame Photometer is a high quality, high performance instrument, employing modern technology to ensure that a customer can measure Na, K, Li, Ca and Ba, very simply but with a high performance.
The Flame Photometer comes as a complete package, and only requires the provision of either propane or butane gas to enable it to be used straight out of its package.

What is a Flame Photometer?
It is a device used in inorganic chemical analysis to determine the concentration of certain metal ions including Sodium (Na) - Potassium (K) - Lithium (Li) - Calcium (Ca) - Barium (Ba).
In principle, it is a controlled flame test with the intensity of the flame colour quantified by photoelectric circuitry. The sample is introduced to the flame at a constant rate. Filters select which colours the photometer detects and exclude the influence of other ions.

More about BWB Technologies
BWB Technologies is a UK based company focusing on the design, manufacture and sales of scientific instrumentation. Drawing on an Anglo-American team of leading industry specialists they strive to create high quality cost effective products.
From their manufacturing plant in Essex they aim to shake up the current market with the introduction of a series of products exceeding existing expectations with new levels of usability, quality and value.
Their first product the BWB-1 Performance Plus Flame Photometer launched at ACHEMA 2006 to a buzz of excited interest. The Flame Photometer is the first product of it type on the market that can offer simultaneous measurement of Na, Ca, Li, K, Ba, and comes ready to run with a complete starter pack included in the price (just add gas).
